Want to be involved?

Outer Regions is a not-for-profit production because of existing intellectual and copyright laws and is made by Star Trek fans, for the enjoyment of other fans. It is first and foremost something we hope, will be an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. However because it is a not-for-profit production this means no one gets paid. We are all doing it just for the fun of doing it, but anyone who does help out will get a name credit at the end of the production. We are based around King's Lynn, Norfolk (UK) and most if not all of the filming will done locally, as stories dictate.

Some people are involved because it is unlike anything they have ever done before, others are doing it to spend time with like-minded people, while some are involved to help build a portfolio of what they are able to do with their skills and experience to show potential employers or customers etc. Whatever your reason is for be interested in helping out, we can assure you that you will have a great time and gain useful skills, knowledge and experience.

OK so what are we actually looking for?

Well, as we said earlier we are looking for people from all walks of life, all ages and all abilities. An interest (dare we say love too?) of Star Trek would be an advantage but is not essential. We are looking to film once or twice a month either over a weekend or maybe just on a Saturday or Sunday depending on what (and who) is needed, but if you are involved you will have plenty of notice for that. We just need you to be reliable and willing to have fun and enjoy yourself!

We are currently looking for in front of the camera:

The last few regular cast (crew) members. We will hold auditions if more people apply than we have roles available.
Extras (re-occuring and one-off's).
and people to fill the more frequent re-occuring roles.

Behind the scenes we are looking for:

Anyone who can do computer modelling and/or rendering.
Anyone who can write and/or perform music.
Anyone who can do stage/film style make up.
People to help with continuity.
People who can help with cinematography, camera work, lighting etc.
People who can draw up scripts (and edit existing scripts) from stories.
People to help sort/arrange equipment.
People who can help out in any other way.
People to help with making the tea and coffee!

Ok so that last one is a joke as we are all able to make our own tea and coffee but you get the idea. Even if you are not sure if you are able to help in any way, or just want more information about anything on here, please feel free to email Dan at
